Jose Theodore will start in goal for the first game ever played by the Lake Erie Monsters, the new AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. He continues to rehab his knee after having arthroscopic surgery late in the off-season.
I hope he gets a shut out, totally dominates the opposition, and triumphantly returns to the NHL as a Vezina-worthy goaltender who then goes on to win 40 games as the Avalanche starter.
In the meantime, I also hope to win the lottery, star on American Idol and finally get an invitation to a Playboy party.
I have a feeling all of these things are equally likely to happen. Not that I don't want them to happen, but you know.
