Last week, I looked the statistical leaders for the Colorado blueliners. Today, I give you the forwards. All stats are through 17 games and unofficially compiled by me.
Games Played: 8 have played in all 17. That will change tomorrow when Ian Laperriere misses his first game.
Goals: Paul Stastny (9). Wyatt Smith and Scott Parker are the only 2 forwards without a goal.
Assists: Stastny & Joe Sakic (13). Parker is the only forward with the goose egg.

im looking hard for something to comment on...
and im not seeing much. the only even mildly surprising stats are Brunette leading even strength assists (I would have expected Sakic or Stastny) or the fact that Q actually realized that Guite was such a good PKer, and plays him as such.
I sure would like to see Sakic's PP time come down. He belongs on the half boards, taking that wrister with Smyth screening! and Bruno feeding him!

Why is it that everyone sees this but Coach Q? Is Sakic demanding to be on the PP point? I highly doubt Joe Sakic ever demands anything---he either wills it or it was never meant to be.
