Stewart, Hussey and Roche sent to Cleveland

Stay connected for news and updates

From the Denver Post:

Centers Matt Hussey and Ken Roche and right wing Chris Stewart were sent to the Avalanche’s American Hockey League affiliate training camp in Cleveland.

All three players dressed last night against Pheonix, but none got a ton of ice time. I speculated earlier today that Stewart's low ice time might be an indicator of his (low) chances at making the team. Looks like I was right. Not that Stewart really had a great shot to make the team under any circumstances - the roster is already mostly set; I don't know that any of the young forwards - Hensick, Jones, Stewart - really have a spot in Colorado this year.
