Considering he’s stated he’ll only play for the Avs i doubt he’d go to some Russian nobody’s. Plus with his company i doubt he really needs the redonkulous money the KHL would throw at him.

I’m not so sure. The so-and-so to Russia rumors this season have actually been pretty accurate barring Malkin. I never thought Jagr would go to Russia but he did.

I amy be wrong

but i don’t think Jagr ever said he’d only play for the Rangers whereas Foppa’s said the only team he’ll play for is the Avs. He may have meant the only NHL team but i still can’t see him playing in Russia when he’s so loved in Colorado, plus i assume he still has his house here.

I believe Jagr didn’t get a new contract offered to him, and as no team was willing to pay him as much as he liked, he buggered off to the KHL

I thought it was a money/contract dispute with Jagr whereas Foppa most likely won’t have that problem as the Avs will offer him a contract if he says he’s healthy and they have cap room as well.
