According to Dater, Leopold may be traded to the Sens.

First he says Clark in on the trading block and now Leopold. Can we afford to trade away a defenseman? Who besides Cuminsky is ready for the NHL?
Antoine Vermette might be a good pick up, but do we need another LW? Would picking up another forward hurt the ice time of Hensiiick and /or Jones?

On a funny note: a reader compared Dater to Eklund…LOL

Hey Adrian! Are you becoming a new Eklund trade rumour guru?

At least Dater has a sense of humor about the comparison…

Eric: I hope to equal Eklund’s 0.2 percent accuracy rate.

He said it’s not a good idea to trade Leopold wither, I think he was more just pointing out the Avs scouts at the Sens/Isles game than saying he’s definetly being traded.
Dater can actually write good articles/blogs that are interesting when he doesn’t feel the need to criticze Boods.

Leo will most likely turn it around later this year and will start playing proper hockey again. IMHO he wasn’t even the worst D on the ice, most of the time.
I like him and wouldn’t want to see him traded.

I don’t think we should trade any of our D unless we can get a quality defender in their place. Tarnqvist has yet to play a game, so we have no idea if he can step into someone’s spot. Cuminsky is getting better, but he isn’t better than anyone we have in the line up right now.

I don’t think trading away a defender for another forward is what we need right now. Yes the injury bug is starting to hit us again (crosses fingers and knocks on wood) but it gives Hensiiick the chance most of though he should have had anyway. The only problem I see in the current line up (outside on schizophrenic play) is that Arnason is still on the ice every night.

Not trying to be rude

but every time you write Cumiskey as Cuminsky it makes me want to break something for some reason.

The fact he hasn’t played is most likely a good indicator he’s not gonna win the Norris trophy this year.

But what if he plays some games and takes powerful slap shots from the point that end up everywhere, including the occasional goal. That’s gotta be worth Norris votes. Right.
