I was happy Super Joe decided to come back for at least one more year. But did anyone else find it curious that he still commanded a $6M salary? Maybe he could have received that on the open market, but seriously, on the ice (and now off of the ice, as it were) is he really worth that amount right now? I wonder if smiley even explored the option of getting a little more of a home town discount?
Did Stevey Y end up playing for a relatively meager salary near the end of his career?

He looks like a douche from one of those teen flick B movies. And thus, he became the face of the Wings.

He looks like the star of a Nickelodeon teen soap from the early 1990s.
Go Avs! Let's get some goals!
And what is he doing to the poor chair? Steve Yzerman: Red Wing legend and chair humper.

Kris Draper wasn’t around that day, I guess. I just assumed Yzerman humped him as much as everybody else in Detroit seems to.

True. The love triangle of Maltby, Draper and McAhole wasn’t called “the grind line” for their style of play on the ice.

Nope. Not that I ….
From my understanding, “the grind line” won out over Draper’s suggestion of “the scissor sisters.”
