PrintThe Rocky Mountain News is reporting what many of us have assumed: Sakic won't be playing on Thursday. He is skating though, and, per the article, expects to play against Los Angeles or Anaheim next week. As we all know, in Avalanche land "next week" could be months away.
No word on Ben Guite who is also skating, according to Peter McNab last night.

Who would play in his place? Without calling anyone up, I don’t see Arny sitting until both Joe and Guite return….
I know it sucks!
