Boulerice is an Avalanche once again?

The Avs reclaimed Jesse Boulerice from Edmonton via waivers on Friday. - TSN

The last few weeks have been a roller coaster ride for Jesse Boulerice.  While playing in Lake Erie it was rumored that the Avs had given him a new contract so they could bring him up to the NHL. In order for that to happen he had to first clear re-entry waivers.  The Edmonton Oilers put a kink in that plan and snatched Boulerice off of waivers on November 11th.  Boulerice then suited up to play against the Avs on November 15th. After two games with Edmonton they have apparently decide to let him go and the Avs are reported to have reclaimed him.

So 2 questions: Why did Edmonton let him go?  and why are the Avs in such a hurry to have him back?
