According to this "source", the Avs should just pack it in now--the season is over. 

Interesting to see that he's counting the Avs out, along with only three other teams--Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and Ottawa.  I guess St. Louis, Los Angeles, Dallas, Columbus, Edmonton, Phoenix, and Nashville will all hang in there for sure.  Not to mention teams in the east like the Panthers, Leafs, and craptacular Islanders. 

He has some astute observations, including gems like these:

Joe Sakic’s bizarre injury at the hands of a wayward snowblower was the final nail in the coffin for the Avs this season.

and

Granted, their goaltending duo of Peter Budaj and Andrew Raycroft hasn’t been quite as horrendous as many expected
