Stewart call up soon?
With mounting injuries - Sakic, Tucker, Willsie, Foote, etc. Do any of you expect more calls to Lake Erie soon?
I would be excited to see what Stewart could do here at the NHL level and with all these mounting injuries, he may get his chance. T.J. Hensick has played pretty well since his call up, providing some spark on an otherwise anemic offensive team, but that seems to have waned a little bit, maybe Stewart - or some other call up, could have a more lasting effect?
What do you guys think?

We talked about this last night
a little bit in the game thread. Avs management has seemed determined to leave Stewart in the AHL for another season. I think we’re more likely to see Cumiskey at forward than we are to see a young player called up just to sit play on the fourth line for a night (depending on how long Willsie is out). If we keep losing forwards, I think at some point there won’t be any doubt that they will call Stewart up, but until that happens, I think they leave him there.
yeah, I picked Stewart too in my recap. He and Chris Durno are the two leading scorers for Lake Erie right now. But considering that Willsie is Hensick’s linemate, Stewart really makes the most sense.
Willsie is definitely out tonight, so unless they go with Cumiskey (which I don’t think they’ll do), a call-up is imminent.
