Ian Laperriere had a win in his fight against the Ducks a few days ago, but he was not so fortunate when he dropped gloves with Jamal Mayers just before 5 minutes into the 1st period. I didn't catch whatever sparked this one, but it was some traded blows that looked kind of weak until Mayers knocked Lappy's helmet off. The scuffle ended with a decent takedown, but unfortunately, it was Mayers'. Lappy gets saddled with the loss in this one.

Lappy fight
You know, it looked like Mayers protected Lappy's head on the way down to the ice. That's some good sportsmanship right there. Win the fight, but make sure the other guy's not hurt.
Jamal Mayers you're okay in my book. I hate your team, though.
