Mike Haynes To Miss Playoffs
Everyone here at Mile High Hockey wishes Altitude play-by-play announcer Mike Haynes a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
Get better soon, Mike. Our thoughts are with you.
John Kelly, former "Voice of The Avalanche" and current announcer for the St. Louis Blues, will be filling in for Haynes during the playoffs.

MD's out there?
Anyone know more about Basilar Artery Aneurysms?
I googled it, looked scary, and then I got scared.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
My heart's going out to you Mike!

Wow!
Haynes isn't my favorite, but certainly best of luck to him for a complete and speedy recovery. He seems pretty fit, and I've heard he's an excellent hockey player, so that makes it especially surprising.
And good job Altitude for thinking to get Kelly to fill in - in my opinion, he's one of the best. This is the same organization that originally botched hiring his replacement, so I didn't see them being capable of doing something smart like this.

That guy was AWFUL
McLeod or something like that? Loud, annoying, and completely worthless. Lasted about 2 or 3 weeks? It took him almost two full games to realize that Svatos was number 40, not Tanguay. Strange thing is, he also called Tanguay Tanguay, meaning he thought there were two? Or that he kept changing jerseys? Or he was just an absolute tool.
I hope Haynes comes out of this OK. I enjoy his enthusiasm for the Avs and for the sport.
