I'm Suggesting Blindness
This has nothing to do with the Avalanche (unless rumors about Torts maybe looking for a new job count), but this has to be deseminated throughout the intra-webs as much as possible.

Quote of the Year:
"No, I'm suggesting blindness."
Well played, Torts, well played.
That's up there with "Commit To The Indian." I hope President Obama hires a hockey coach as his press secretary.
"President" Obama?
Yeah, and the Easter Bunny will be secretary of defense, the tooth fairy will be secretary of state and global warming is real.
Thanks for the chuckle.

pretty much
think the video judge had a hole in his head to match the one in the net....only his happens to be where his eyes are supposed to be.
I mean, hockey fans know 3 inches is an eternity, and in terms of close shots, where you haveinside of post, dead on post, clang off the outer edge, and everything else, come back when you have a real highlight, this puck wasn't even close.
How it gets in, I don't know, I don't think I've ever seen a puck sneak in like that (and I had hockey playing friends growing up, so I saw a few games with well worn equipment), but any self-respecting video judge has to be sick inside seeing that travesty.
And then, to add insult to injury, what was up with those Finnish Blues Brothers fans in the stands???

Oh yeah
The guys in the hats is the real story here, definitely.
I mean, I love the Blues Brothers as much as the next guy, but I don't let it define my wardrobe, you know?
Momentus
If you look close enough you can see a small black hole the puck traveled through to enter the goal. The event horizon makes it hard to distinguish.
In other new Tortorella is henceforth to be known as Tortilla to me.

Even worse
is when after the game they admit they screwed up and fire the goal judge. But the US team still gets hosed....
After the game, the IIHF agreed that Finland's first goal entered through the side of the net and said the goal-judge was fired from the tournament.
