There Goes My Relative Anonymity

When The Hockey News asked me to contribute to their web site as an Avalanche blogger, how could I say no? There I'll be posting occasional articles full of questionable assertions and blatant inaccuracies, at least until I have a mental breakdown. I saw where Dirk (The Forechecker) was tabbed as the Nashville guy. I looked at THN’s blogroll and noticed they didn’t have a Avs guy yet. I remember thinking “I wonder who they’ll get, probably Thomas…”

I said all that to say this, congrats.

PS – I still expect you to respond to emails in the timely two-week timespan of which you are accustomed. No slacking because you’re approaching legitimaticy.

Observation

I wanna say something about this that cracks me up. Joe has ONE mega-post (The All-Time 19 List) that he’s going to milk for 2+ months, a middle of the week thread where he talks about how he isn’t going to post anything and we all comment to the tune of 50-75 quips, a one-week vacation that last over two, and THEN The Hockey News comes-a-calling to get his unique take on the Colorado Avalanche.

I guess what I mean is, the standards really ARE lower in Kentucky…
