MHH Guidelines for the Avalanche 2nd Half
- Don't wish for one goalie to lose just so you have a better argument for the other goalie.
- Capitalize "The" when talking about The Baron von Wolski.
- Continue to throw out low-ball trade ideas to move Tucker and Arny.
- Don't feed the trolls.
- Realize that as bad as it gets, this is the Avalanche, not the Islanders.

For those who may need further clarification:
1. A win is a win, regardless of who is in net. We’ll take any we can get.
2. That’s just an appropriate show of respect to nobility.
3. Ovechkin for Arnason makes sense to me.
4. Ignoring them is hard, we all know, but satisfying nonetheless.
5. Seriously.
Go Avs! Let's get some goals!

Capitalize "The" when talking about The Baron von Wolski.
Especially since he was named “NHL’s First Star of the Week!!”
The Baron rules the NHL!

And so humble
However, he gives much of the credit for the smooth transition to linemates Ryan Smyth and Milan Hejduk.
"It’s a great opportunity to play with Ryan and Milan," said Wolski. "They’ve got so much skill and bring so much offense to the game that it’s hard not to do well when you’re with them. I’m happy to be on that line and be able to contribute."
(Italics added)
And yet they couldn’t help Arnason to look any better. I’m sure The Duke and Smyth make it easier, but The Baron has the skill to play with them as well, unlike the center formerly known as Arnason.

What if
We root for BOTH goalies to lose. Did you think about that smart guy? Huh? Wait a minute. That wouldn’t make you a fan at all (Or atleast make you a bad fan).

The Avalanche are in the playoff picture currently.
If they keep the confidence high and play like they did last year in the second half there is no reason why they can’t finish at least 4th/5th in the west or even better come back and win the division.
Remember guys this is close to the same team as last year, injuries and all.

Can we also make it a rule
that when we have eastern conference visitors we should have a unified effort to not allow jabs implying we don’t have a player as good as Crosby or Mike Richards or whoever. I am forced to watch a lot of eastern teams and i have no doubt that poor Stastny would be a 100 point producer in that conference hands down.

You speak the truth
Not only we he not have suffered the injuries that he had the last two years (cuz nobody blocks shots in the East), they would have named a street after SoS and would bring up his hockey lineage in an intermission piece EVERY GAME, home OR away!

Wolski at center, if this continues, could end up in that category as well…but we still have to wait and see.

He could be 100 point producer in the West if he stays fit and with some guys who can score, in all honesty.

Sort of. Only two of them show up to play per game.
Sure, it may be a rough stretch, but at least it's okay to like Jaromir Jagr again.

They could use guys like Tyler “My Tomtom isn’t working, so I can’t find the Pepsi Center” Arnason to bring their status quo down.

Tomtoms suck, thats why he’s not playing well. He spends all day trying to find the Pepsi Center, he needs a Navman, It’s only gotten me lost a few times and sent down random streets. They’re awesomely better than a stupid tomtom, it sounds l;ike a toy from the stone age. Would you trust one of them?

Royalty
Since we were all looking for a royal name to give Smyth, i searched and found that we might have to dub him Viscount. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Prendergast_Smyth,_1st_Viscount_Gort

I just had the thought of using “Squire” but that somehow seems beneath Smyth. It would seem more appropriate for a rookie

Awesome
I wondered whether anyone would recogniz him. I had the most confidence in you getting it and thankfully you did, Know I don’t have to cut my wrists with my skate blades.
Don’t worry though, they’re incredibly blunt and wouldn’t affect the King of the World too much.

needs a villainous nickname.
How about Dr. Douche?

Also fitting because Dr. Doom is a.k.a. Baron Von Doom and we love Barons?

But there's no way
Tucker is a Dr. of anything. You’d be lumping him in with some pretty astute company: Doogie Howser, Dr. J, Dr. David Green, Dr Pepper, Doc Savage, Doctor Venture… Tucker couldn’t carry Doc Venture’s jock strap.
