The only time good BJs are bad-OVERFLOW THREAD!!

Avs decide to copy the Chicago Blackhawks and play only 20 minutes of hockey to lose to the BJs tonight 5-1 in one of the most pathetic efforts of the season. Darcy Tucker scored the only goal, and Jibblescribbits is having a hell of a time finding a way to write 75 words about this game by keeping it safe for work.

So in that case we'll just quote AvslovaFactor in the main game thread:

The Avs need to play Arnason, Tucker, and Clark for the entire last 6:39 and hope they retire from exhaustion.

Then we’ll have some room in the salary cap.

What a crap performance

Second game in a row where the only forwards to show up were Lappy and Stewart. Only this time Liles, Leopold, and Footer didn’t show up to help them out.

Joining Lappy and Stewart

Jones and McLeod showed up too. TJ and Smyth tried but were overwhelmed with the lack of help.

That's a good point.

Jones and Mcleod did work hard the whole game; Lappy and Stewart still get the hard-hat awards in my book though.

Has Stewart even remotely taken a night off since his call-up?

Re: Stewie

Not that I’ve seen. After watching him play, I wonder why people have questioned his work ethic. Although, when the standard is lowered to “someone please show up and play” I guess production is not that important.

Nope, which is more than can be said about TJ Hensik right now.

I believe in Peter Budaj

Ya

The only other guy who has shown up EVERY SINGLE night since his call-up is Cody Mcleod—Jones, while I love him, had a “few” invisible “performances”—though Mcleod’s offensive potential isn’t nearly as high as Stewart’s.

Just imagine if everyone on this team played a full 60 minute game every night!
