New goalposts. Sad day for Rayzor
They're planning on changing the type of goalposts from cylindrical to flat (with the normal of the side pointing to the center of the goal). This sounds like a great idea, but then I realised Rayzor probably has had the most lucky bounces in NHL history.

I understand that the worst sound a shooter can hear, or the best sound a goalie can hear is the ring of the post. I don’t know if changing the posts will actually deflect more shot into the net or not. Personally I doubt it will change things that much, it’s not like there are players ringing it off the post every game.

The shape of the goalpost will most definitely determine how a puck will reflect (whether it will go in or not). But I do agree that not that many posts are hit in a game and in the long run it’ll make little difference.

Stop messing around with the game you muppets. If a players not good enough to get agoal and hits the post thats his problem. why not just tie the goalie to the posts to make it even easier for players.

Hey
What I do in my spare time is of no concern to you, got it. Plus if i tie myself to the posts it makes it that much harder for people to hit me in the mask. If I ever paint my mask I’m putting a giant bullseye in the middle just above the cage.
