Foote, Lappy out, Raycroft in for tomorrow's game
More grim news for the Avs today guys...
The Avalanche will be without a pair of veterans when the club faces Nashville tomorrow, as defenseman Adam Foote and forward Ian Laperriere will not make the trip to Tennessee.
Foote suffered a tricep injury during Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Wild. The blueliner played briefly in the second period before leaving the game. He did not take part in practice Monday and is out indefinitely.
The Avalanche also played the third period of last night’s game without the services of Laperriere. The winger, who has been playing center of late, skated for just 9:03 before leaving the contest with a back injury.
“Adam has a tricep injury and he’s going to be reevaluated in the next few days,” said Avalanche head coach Tony Granato. “Ian should be day-to-day. He’s got a stiff back but won’t make the trip.”
Ben Guite is expected to jump back into the lineup tomorrow and replace Laperriere after being a healthy scratch against the Wild, while Daniel Tjarnqvist will likely take Foote's spot on the blue line.
Oh, and this too:
Andrew Raycroft will get the starting nod in goal for the Avalanche.

hmmm
How much longer until the Avs force Shattenkirk and Stoa to drop out of college and join the team (which will probably be developmental suicide)? One week? Two?

How soon do we play either LA or Phoenix…since that’s were most of our injuries come from.
Avs win in Nashville simply because Raycroft is in net. You know the team just plays better in front of him, right?

Its always happy hour when Raycroft is in goal!
The softest team in the NHL loses the only two guys that hit on a regular basis. This will go well.

what could possibly go wrong?

Awesome. Now I need a translator to read the highlights. Who is the highlander, hobbit, male model, and mouthpiece? Douche who stole Christmas is great.

LMAO. I actually thought of the hobbit when I saw that picture of Tucker playing Tough Guy from the BJ game.

I think Clerks II
said all that needs to be said about the LOTR movies.
They call me Bubblegum.

Was Cleks II insulting to LOTR’s, cause those movies sucked.

I'm confused
when were we friends in the first place?, but seriously those movies were basically 3 hours of walking in a forest with the occasional tripping on a tree root.

Hahahahaaha
in an extremely graphic way, it was insulting LOTR. Personally, I enjoyed the movies, but Kevin Smith’s take on them was absolutely hilarious.

Yes it was
As was the take on the star wars travesty trilogy. Mannequin skywalker indeed. But, lotr did suck, only cuz I’m a dork and read the books a thousand times. It gets really annoying when they not only shorten a movie (understandable) but also completely rewrite or change parts of the plot or intent to fit someones take on how it “should” have been. Had i not read the books (or forgotten them) the movies would have been somewhat more enjoyable.
I blame it all on my goalie

Never read them
because I was too cool for that in high school. Or something.

They were too big for me. I’m not reading 8,000 pages about a guy walking in a forest with a man ring.

Read the books, and loved the movies
They were long, but they needed to be to do justice to the books. They did extend parts (like Liv Tyler’s), but most of the main stories were intact. It’s definitely better than the HORRIBLE animated version from the early 80’s. That thing makes me noxious.

I also read the books, numerous times, and I also loved the movies. I went in wondering if/how they were going to do the books justice and was pleasantly surprised at how well Jackson did in directing the films.
The animated films were awful at best…

Never read them
When the first 20 pages of a book are about potato farming, I tend to lose interest quickly.
But I enjoyed the movies a lot. The hardest thing to to when watching a movie based on a book is to remember the Director is going to have his own take on them.
Oh no i didn’t read them because I’m cool or something.

So are we still calling him Snajaya or is he the Arnagedon? Either one is fine by me…
The Hobbit is truly an instant classic, those pics above had me rolling on the floor.

I think Arnageddon, everyone gets the reference and him being on the ice pretty much symbolises the end of the Avs dominance.

Yeah I dig the hobbit
And I don’t care what we call arny, even though “waived” is my personal favorite. But I didn’t see him on the list (kinda like his presence on the ice- he was invisible)

This’ll work out great for the Avs. They’re only on a 3 game loss free fall as it is.

On a positive note
maybe this will shut Raycroft’s fans up. I struggle to see how they can win.
