Awesome

I broke the link on purpose so we don’t end up giving them clicks/referrals, but I thought it might help you guys get rid of it.

thanks, I have forwarded that info along

I saw it, too.

It was on more sites than just this one (obviously). I was just waiting for it to come up again so I could screenshot it. Got it!

is it possible that this has something to do with the problems i’ve been experiencing too? maybe the stars are trying to pop up on my screen but my virus scanner is blocking them and that’s why i’m getting the message i’m getting?? if so, careful about clicking on it…it could be spyware!

Just get Chrome

I have yet to see them at home, but I see them while at school quite often.

Damn college and them not able to afford a free browser.

So long Super Joe. In a class of your own in every sense of the word.

I still haven’t got it, although when you’re the king of the universe little meaningless crap like pink stars knows to stay away lest I destroy it.

Gratis?

Did the Avs put that up for free or did that take some $$$? Just curious…
Very cool, I didn’t notice it during the game.

by From the Point on Oct 4, 2009 9:49 AM MDT up reply actions

It was $75. It wasn’t on during the ceremony, just the pregame and the intermissions. It was my idea, and Mike ok’d it. I thought it was pretty cool! Defintely better than all the stupid birthday messages!

nah, because I gave all the credit to Mike when in the back of my head I had a feeling he had some helpful guidance…

Agreed

The b-day ones were kinda lame compared to the sendoffs.

But honestly, whoever is marrying that chick who is having her bachelorette party at the Avs season opener is one lucky SoB.

I was thinking the same thing, UNLESS she was there at the game with all her girl friends and her fiancee had to stay home.

Hopefully though, he got to go to the game with the guys.

I would be smacking the guy upside the face.

It was up during each intermission

And may have been up during the ceremony, but I wasn’t looking there for obvious reasons.

Just got back to Las Vegas

and hopefully in the next couple of days I will also have some pics up to share.

It was fun to see Beachie again and finally get to meet everyone who was at Old C’s.
We went to both games and had a blast…as I catch up in the post game threads I’ll add some thoughts for each game and the experience.

Looks great! Glad we could collectively say thanks to Super Joe in such a highly visible way!

On a related note, I wish we had the resources to advertise continuously in The Can. Maybe some day.

The Avs may suck now, but they've still won a Cup more recently than 75% of the NHL.

maybe not continuously, but what about doing these types of messages regularly? i.e., congratulating duchene & o’reilly on their first goals, ‘way to go’ for good games played (hat tricks? shut outs?), welcome backs after winning road trips?? could be interesting…and get some attention from the avs organization perhaps.

$75. all Mike’s idea, and a rather fine one at that. and for every 1700 people who click on the pink stars ad, we can do another one.

You know, come to think of it, we could set up a PayPal to fund future messages in The Can. Everybody interested in donating could also vote on the message to be posted. Just a though.
