Hell, why not?

After the article, there are some very disturbing comments by some Bertuzzi apologists. There are some scary people out there...

As I noted on Facebook this morning:

Todd Bertuzzi, Kirk Maltby, Kris Draper and now Brad May? Man, bring back Darren McCarty Red Wings, and you can have the biggest collection of whiny douche-sticks on one sheet of ice.

very disturbing comments

but look at it this way, they lost alot of production over the offseason 63 goals was it? and replaced it with what? 24 between 2 players lol…i dont see the wings really going that deep this year, playoffs yea, because you cant shut down zetterberg and datsyuk, but the goaltending with osgood is not going to be good, Osgood only got another year older, and their back-up is going to get hammered

Pujols takes out "I" in BIG and "A" in MAC, previously considered to be an unyielding, consonant threat

by DESTROYER on Oct 8, 2009 6:39 AM MDT reply actions

Again, small sample size…but they have already blown a 3 and 2 goal lead to lose their first 2. Maybe they will have “Avs disease” this year

Forgive me, I'm a noob

What is the Av’s issues with Brad May?

Really? I’ll let someone more edumacated tell you about it. But in short…he put a “bounty” on an Avalanche players head in the 2003-4 season (I think it was that one)…that player, Steve Moore, was later brutally attacked from behind by Todd Bertuzzi he fractured some bones in his neck, and has never played since.

The Avs then signed May the following season, and Bertuzzi is still playing. Add what you will other MHH’ers

by chiavsfan on Oct 8, 2009 7:31 AM MDT up reply actions

He was a catalyst for the whole Bertuzzi incident, and he’s the one who publicly put a bounty on Steve Moore. He was pretty unapologetic (even more so than Bertuzzi) about what happened to Moore as well.

Even without that, he’s just a douche, or in hockey euphemisms “He’s a Burkie type”

These people are nuts.

I wish they would just trade for Phadouche so I could focus all my rage into one place.

I don’t think I could handle that. My head would probably explode during their first game with us this year.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

In The Words Of Nelson

Ha Ha! Both guys (Burt and May) are D-Bags, no doubt about that. But they both suck. What better place to put these 2 pieces of crap than Detoilet?

Even though Koci isn’t playing much, when we play Detroit in the coming weeks, I will just be waiting for our 6’6 fighter to rip May’s head from his overpaid body. Wait is that too mean…?

by c6hor8 on Oct 8, 2009 9:30 AM MDT reply actions

Speaking of

I think it is pretty deplorable that no Av ever beat the snot out of Bertdouchie after the Moore incident. Maybe Koci can take care of that little bit of unfinished business as well?

There's a lot of factors there

He was suspended for the rest of the season, then the lockout happened and that kind of killed the momentum for that kind of retaliation. I also think Bertuzzi has been careful not to get into fights since then (as it would really hurt his PR image) and especially in Denver.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d still like to see it.

Broken hand?

Didn’t May break his hand here in Denver? I can’t remember him fighting much after that. Not much at all…Koci is too big for him anyway, maybe McCleod or Stewart

I am sure Avery can be obtained.

Hey, maybe they’ll take Tucker off our hands!

by Rather Dashing on Oct 8, 2009 1:14 PM MDT up reply actions

Now I am creating an All-douche team in my head. My starting line would be
Avery – Draper – Bertuzzi. Not sure who Phadouche’s partner should be. I suppose Emery makes good choice for goal.

I think this exists.. they’re called the Red Wings when Lidstrom’s hurt.

I love The Onion

From the “what do you think” feature here:

Detroit Facing Corpse SurplusCorpses are piling up in the Wayne County Morgue in Detroit because families and loved ones can’t afford to bury or cremate the bodies. What do you think?

 Jun Weneau,
Systems Analyst
“At least they have a roof over their heads and no cares in the world. There are a lot Michiganders who would gladly trade places with those corpses.”

June Reno,
Elevator Operator
“Ford’s doing okay. Maybe they need some crash-test dummies?”

Yan Juno,
Rack Carrier
“Being dead, though, probably is the best way to experience Detroit.”

Thank you for clearing that up

I have seen the Bertuzzi-Moore incident on YouTube. I don’t think I have seen anything quite so disgusting. Except, maybe, the comments section on the link at Denver Post. One of them even said that it was the Avs piling on top of Bertuzzi that caused Moore’s injury. Jesus wept.
