DGB is priceless

back in the days before DGB, when I was first starting ITCS, I asked him to come on board. It never happened but imagine the possibilities. It could have been, like, uh, me and a really funny guy.

ITCS FTW
For those who weren’t around before DDC came to MHH, he wrote an awesome blog called In the Cheap Seats (hence, ITCS). Thankfully, the retirement of ITCS meant he came here to MHH and kept up his brilliant commentary. = ) (Although, I do miss ITCS.)

thanks! I still remember the nice complimentary email back in the day (man, hope I spelled that right).
and ITCS is still there…it just hasn’t changed for…oh shit, almost 1 year.

True story
I had never, ever been there until two nights ago. I spent like 4 hours just combing over the site. Was awesome, sir.

I didn’t realize you weren’t around when ITCS was the thing. I stumbled upon it first and branched out to MHH, Jibble, Shane G, etc from there. So I guess you all can thank DDC for being able to experience the wonders that are Beachie! ; – )

Same here, I found ITCS through Avalanche-Country.com (where DDC was know as Draftdodger if I remember correctly) then through ITCS I found MHH, and many others.

yeah, I miss Avalanche Country. They were the ones who got me started on an Avalanche path, really. They used some of my early recaps from time to time and it just kind of grew from there. I really intended to do more general hockey commentary, like that Dear Lord Stanley fellow (aka Joe) but just kind of naturally gravitated towards the Avs

I still post over there, but it’s gotten very slow around those parts. Very few people post over there anymore.

Avalanche country to ITCS to MHH. Hopefully this place stays as hopping as it is for awhile.

I think the support and size of SBN will help. As long as there are competent people running MHH it should be around for a while.

This is false.
In fact, there’s going to be a ton of photographic evidence of this trip. Not a single second of it will be spent in a basement.

Just think, if I’d ended up writing for an Avs blog I would have had to use all my “Andrew Raycroft sucks” jokes a year later.
