Sorry for this being late (and brief). Until 5 minutes ago, I thought this game was tomorrow. Oof. So I'm cranking this out quickly on my lunch break. Too bad, as this is a big, big game for the Avs. The winner of tonight's match will be in first in the NW and, of course, if the Avs are for real this year, bouncing back from Saturday's disaster is going to be key.
[One, if they were so inclined, might go so far as to say this game was a "must-win" for the Avalanche. -Joe]
Craig Anderson is the starter for the Avs. Chris Durno has been recalled (why?). T.J. Galiardi and John-Michael Liles are traveling with the club, but neither will play tonight.
The Flames? I don't like them. And...scene.

We need Gailardi back in
I think we’ve really missed the guy, he plays good hockey, and there’s no doubt he brings some good vibes to the locker room.

Chris Durno has been recalled (why?).
After sending Dupuis down a couple of days ago, the team was travelling with 13 healthy forwards. Sounds like Sacco just wanted another option.

Also surprised to see that Durno’s recall made TSN headlines. I wonder if it’s because the Avs are playing a Canadian team tonight. Or, if it’s because of Durno’s following amongst Leaf fans.

heh. probably the former, but you never know

Tonights Game..
is one where guys like slap-chop, footer, and andy grab this team by their shirt collars and go ‘damnit boys, tonight we show what we’re made of’
THIS is when we need our vets to show the guys like dutchy and radar how it’s done
go avs!!
Make Me A Milkshake, Malkin! - Mike Lange
Well said sir. I really think if this team is for real, the Vets will stand up and actually play tonight. It would be nice for our rookies to have some examples to pattern their play after and I do believe that our Vets can be that example. GO AVS!

You’re right. Slap-Chop has been bandied about around here as the new and improved Tucker leaves his ShamWowiness behind.
An ounce of confidence can carry you a mile toward winning. Oh, and Red Wings suck.
At least ShamWow

It could be worse. You could work 40 hours a week and go to school in the evenings for another 16. Then study all weekend long.
The only saving grace is that my girlfriend is on a “let’s go to a strip club” kick lately. So I guess it’s not all bad.

interesting stats.
Flames have scored the first goal in 15 out of their 18 games and have outscored opponents 27-14 in the first period.
Avs have scored first just 8 times out of 20. Avs do have a decent 6-4-2 record when the other team scores first, but that’s a hell of a way to have to win hockey games. I don’t know why they are so sluggish at the start of games. In similar news, Avs have outscored opponents 23-14 in the second.
Avs have outshot their opponents just 4 times this year. Calgary? 3. Something has to give there.
Flames have gotten 11 out of 12 possible points in November.

Linemates
Anyone know the lines for tonight, or is Sacco still using the hopper full of ping pong balls behind the bench?
if i was guessing:
Wolski – Stastny – Hejduk
Tucker – Duchene – Svatos
McLeod – O’Reilly – Jones
Koci – Hensick – Hendricks
the last seet was such a debacle, I doubt we see them again.
the post mentioned Duchene skating on a line with Tucker and Hedjuk, no idea if that’s accurate tho.
We probably see Hejduk starting out again with Tucker and Duchene, but like last game who know how long it lasts.
I’m imagine the game will start with:
Wolski – Stastny – Jones
Tucker – Duchene – Hejduk
McLeod – O’Reilly – Svatos
Koci – Hensick – Hendricks
Stewart, Durno Scratches?

I cannot do anything to it; they do it all. Besides, they’ve done the OS. Windows 7 is not something a school would ever put on their computers unless it’s 5 years old and dirt cheap.

Depends on what company the IT guy works for. If it is a school, the IT guy/girl will try and resurrect anything they can for the teachers, but replace it immediately if it is for student use.
