Avs vs. Jackets, 1/2

Anybody going to be in the Columbus area on January 2nd? I think my girlfriend and I are going up there to catch the Avs on the road.

I've only ever seen the Avs play in Nashville, and I can't stand that place, so we're going to Ohio for a change of scenery. That and she has family there so we can crash for free. Nice bonus.

If anyone is going to be in that area (or wants to make a road trip), let me know and we'll meet up if possible.

I think this is the only game of the season I'll be able to afford (and have time to go to), so hopefully the Avs will bother to show up.

Is a decent place. Not sure i’d vacation there, but it’s a decent place.

It’s more like a day-and-a-half road trip than a vacation.

If you have time for one must-see that’s not the Avs game, I’d recommend the zoo. It’s a little outside of town and it’s a very good one (Jack Hannah’s zoo).

Nationwide Arena has some excellent bars and nightlife around it as well. It’s a pretty nice arena (I like it more than the Shark tank in SJ)

I'm planning on being there!

My girlfriend and I (and possibly a friend or two, not sure yet) are going to be at this game. If you want to meet up and talk Avs let me know.

We’re making it a road trip down from Wisconsin, hitting the Detroit game on New Year’s Eve, then this game.

I’ll be doing the Detroit and Columbus trip as well. We plan to find somewhere cool in Columbus to watch the Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day. Probably be a crazier crowd for that than the BJ’s game.
