There's two ways for me to approach this. I could write this big long preview, taking into account all the changes that have happened since yesterday morning (like the Avalanche falling out of first in the NW). Or I could say "what I said yesterday". I'm going to go with the latter.

Firs- just kidding
My wishlist-
2 goals in the 3rd.
Koci serves a 5 minute fighting major as his only penalty or doesn’t play at all.
A win would be an extra bonus.
I should never be taken seriously.... Seriously!
Like I said yesterday, I’m done with the waiting on a 60 minute effort. I just want to see two things today
1) Try a little bit…like the whole team, not just 3 or 4 players
2) Clear the puck
I may not be able to watch the game tonight because of a long day in the car ahead of me tomorrow…thank you GameCenter Live DVR feature!
Go Avs!
(BTW, thanks Red Wings, you really don’t want to make the playoffs this year do you?)
Please let Foote be back in the line up (Hendricks coming back could be nice too, the Avs needs some rough grit sand paper), pray the Duke’s knee injury doesn’t cause him to have his appendix out, and let Duchene, Stastny and the rest of the team score goals instead of hitting post.

I'm The Canary - but I'm not cute nor cuddly, and I don't sing.
But wasn’t that retroactive to the 17th so he’d still be available anytime he was ready?

Which might be today since Foote and Hendricks have both been activated.
Cumiskey is on the IR, and Pressing has been waived (which leads me to believe we’ll probably see Foote tonight.

Not a lot thanks!
Sister flew in last minute yesterday “surprise!” so I didn’t get home nearly as early as I should have last night. and the alarm still went off at 5 this morning. Seems it always does that regardless of how late I go to bed :(

Avs VS Wild
I hope that the Avs can get a win today! Heres to a COMPLETE GAME (hoping). I would like to see a few things my fellow mile-high fans:
1-Svatos get into another fight! LOL
2-Matty “Dink” Duchene get some damn good luck!
3-The Avs to clear the puck out of the zone… And stay out of the box…
4-Anderson to play like he did in October.
5-Someone from the Avs just start hitting, anything and everything!
6- And Galli give us a goal back!
I could go on and on but that would be asking too much, wait, maybe the above is too but a guy can hope! Go Avs
Ah If it were a perfect world *sigh*

Finish what you start Boys
Play a full 60 minute game – no just 40.
If you start a check, finish it.
If you battle for the puck, get it.
If you drive to the net for a goal, make it.
What they did in October was all of those; working hard the entire time. Nothing difficult or fancy; just solid, basic hockey. They can win with that.
LET’S GO AVS!!!!
Colorado Avalanche: Please excuse the mess while we are under construction.
Sounds good
But I see three big “ifs” there
Get rid of the loser point
09-10 Avs- Nowhere to go but up!
Any word on the Duke yet?

since they were icing his knee and he didn’t play the 3rd, i’d be very surprised if he played.

As per Frei (Denver Post) Foote returns to play
Anderson will start again today.
Craig Anderson again will get the start in goal against the Wild, meaning backup Peter Budaj still will have started only two games this season. “You always give thought on the goaltending situation, but I just felt that Craig has been playing well, I felt that playing a game yesterday in the afternoon made my decision easier, and he should be rested for tonight,” Sacco said. “Like I’ve said before, he’s been doing a good job for us and he’s giving us a chance to win.”
Hejduk will not play, but will travel with team on the upcoming road trip: Day to day
Sacco on Preissing:
“In fairness to Tommy, he missed training camp,” Sacco said. “He needed to play games. He needed to go down and he needed to be used in situations, he needs to play minutes, he needs to play games. That’s in the best interests of Tommy and the best interests of the club. That made the most sense for us, and hopefully, he can get his game in order and get his confidence back in his game.”

Like I said in yesterday’s game thread…hopefully Footer can bring some sanity back to the D (especially with no Priessing)
Would still rather see Boods today (again, yes, from my mouth)
Won't be on tonight.
That means with my luck, Quincey and Jones will score, and that we will actually play a good game.
