Stop the Madness!
I know this seems like it’s been talked about a bunch in the game threads but I wanted to see if others feel the same about this.
The problem: We are supposed to have a gritty (see definition of sandpaper) team that takes the play to the opponents but, there have been a disturbing amount of contact to “star” players with little or no retribution.
Why is Koci taking 4th line time if he’s not going to make people pay for hitting / continually running Craig Anderson or taking Dutchie down with a clear high hit (that sounds like it dinged up his shoulder)?
This begs the question: If a goalie is playing well is it ok for the other team to “Bertuzzi him” at every chance to get him off his game? I think not.
I know it seems that Joe Sacco has be trying his best to keeps players on a short leash but at what point are we a team that other teams think they can take liberties with?
I say stop the madness.

fixed. copying from Word can be a bit funky
Hyphens cause writers more trouble than any other form of punctuation, except perhaps commas.

sidenote:
Bob Hartley is claiming Forsberg signed with AK Bars in the KHL. No confirmation yet. Maybe Bob’s giving Eklund a run for his money.

I find that so ridiculously unlikely. If he is well enough to play in the KHL, he’s well enough for the NHL. He wants the NHL. Clubs haven’t even begun talking money with him (that we know of), so that can’t be what would draw him there. I call BS on that claim.

But then I thought there was no way the Avs would trade Smythe so what do I know.

I want to see players who take liberties pummeled. Period. Unless of course they’re our players. :)
Get rid of the loser point

yeeah
this hasn’t really changed since last year, when it also happened. It was useful to have lappy and highlander in the middle depths bc they did stand up enthusiastically. Stewie was one of those guys for a while as well…
At least our defensive strategy is no longer ‘lie down and take it’ block shots

I like how the “Stop the Madness” headline is below the Forsberg one

Yeah i noticed that. It seems to all be one post.
Word on the street is that The Canucks are scouting him (forsberg). I can’t imagine they have the cap space even with Pavol Demitra on the long term IR.
Can Stewie or Koci please drop the flippers already. I know Cody Mac can’t because of his eye injury and the visor thing.

STOP THE MADNESS
Let’s keep the Forsberg speculation to one post so I don’t have to ignore more than one.
