I kinda see where AD is going with this, but McCarthy didn't play for the avs, so it's perfectly alright for me to hate him.

P.S. Fuck Detroit.

He was still playing?

I spent more effort eating a pudding than Tyler Arnason skated last year.

Almost commented on AD's site

But didn’t. I don’t like McCarty now and I didn’t then, and if he “struggles with alcohol” well whoop de doo, times are tough all over. Most people haven’t had the chance to make his money playing a game so why should we feel sorry for him when he squanders it? Does anybody feel sorry for lottery winners who waste their money? No, we all say, “what losers”. And I say the same thing about him, 4 cups notwithstanding. No, I wouldn’t have liked him on my team, just as I didn’t like Brad May, and I wouldn’t like Tootoo, Avery, Ott, Phadouche, etc. I’m glad McLeod has stopped doing some of the douchey things he used to do because I didn’t like watching him the first year or so either. Tuckers clip last year was about the end of the line in my fandom for him (although it never really started anyway).

It is cool that he gave a puck to a kid in the stands. He gets one act of kindness to offset the countless douchey things he’s done.

Get rid of the loser point

Amen

I never liked him because he was a Wing, but it turned to “despise” level a few years back. When he went to Calgary, his wife came back to him and helped him get off the drugs and booze after the Flames dumped him. Then the Wings called, and he decided to go. Stories that came out said that he left her with a “Dear John” letter, saying thanks, but he had to go. What a dick.
