Are we doing the baffling “Play until you lose” goalie rotation that was so successful last season. I realize neither goalie has played particularly well, but I thought Raycroft had been playing decent. Let’s just stick with him until he drops a couple poor games on us.

Add “rhyme” and “reason” to the terms not in Granato’s vocabulary. Along with “system,” “special teams,” “risk and reward,” “earning playing time,” “more than one damn forward on the forecheck” and “defensive zone breakout.” Among others. But I think he is doing a great job.

I'm not sure this is the case
If you remember Budaj had seven starts in a row and despite the team beginning to play much better (Wild, Canadiens) he had three straight loses. Now Raycroft has had 4 straight starts, I don’t think Budaj is playing because Raycroft was bad (he wasn’t) but because neither guy has nailed down the #1 and so both guys are getting a rotation (though Budaj is still getting more starts). Raycroft has started 2-3 games in a row most of the season, having recently started Jan 6th through Jan 13th-Blue Jackets (4 games – 3W 1L), Jan 16th-Edmonton (1 game – 1L), and Jan 27th-Sharks, Jan 29th-Leafs (2 games – 2L)…With his last win against the Penguins on Jan 10th.
I may be completely wrong on this, but at no time during this season has Granato seemed to implement the play till you lose scenario. If Budaj has a good game tomorrow, still losses, and we see Raycroft on Thursday, then there might be an argument.

I can’t believe that it took me moving to Atlanta to finally be able to see an Avs game live. Here’s hoping that Statsny plays!
nice! and welcome

you get to see the Avs actually “play”.
