This organization really is falling apart at the seems isn’t it!
If this isn’t a BIG, CLEAR sign that the Avs should re-sign Lappy, then they’ll never get it. They obviously didn’t get the memo about the Wild regretting having let Brunette go, because they made the same mistake and then compounded it by signing Sham Wow to replace him.

I 27/29ths agree with this comment. And you’re right, there’s no evidence the Avs are going to do this deal, only that Les Ailes are interested.

Personally
unless a deal is worked out before a trade, I doubt that Lappy comes back next season if he’s traded this season.
Know I now we have nothing more than rumors, but the fact Lappy doesn’t have a deal yet is troubling to me. If the Avs alienate him by low-balling him and then expect to re-sign him this summer, they are dumber than your average high school student.
And I don’t know how many fans could deal with actually trading Lappy to the Wings. Arnason maybe (because we could sit back and laugh), Lappy, not likely.
MHH: Like the Avs organization, we’ve now officially lost our minds.

I agree. I don’t know if I can articulate why, but I think if Lappy is traded, he’s not coming back.
Hyphens cause writers more trouble than any other form of punctuation, except perhaps commas.

Yeah
It would be ok if he came back, but still, not to the freakin wings. and I agree- if he’s getting lowballed (and there is no reason to think he isn’t with our fearless leader gm douchebag accountant at the helm) there is no reason for him to WANT to come back.

although I don’t doubt the veracity at all.

I love Lappy, but this team has to look at getting younger and if you can get a decent return for him, they have to seriously consider it.
One couldn’t blame Lappy for wanting to make what Tucker makes. Giguere really botched up last off-season.

But even while looking to get younger
you need to have some veteran leadership. And I don’t think its a stretch to say that Lappy is the kind of guy you want your young players to emulate. Some one who give his all every night, who will go to battle every shift, take a beating, and then do it all over again.
You also need some one to speak up when things aren’t going well, but also keep thing light and fun at the same time, Lappy seems to be that kind of guy.
