Denver Sports Radio

In a town with all 4 major sports you would think there would be a local, morning sports talk show.  Nope.  I know there is still the afternoon show, but I have always enjoyed a morning show that focused on the Denver sports scene.

We all know the Fan moved to FM (I just don’t know why, really) and they immediately replaced the morning show with a national show.  ESPN is somewhere on the AM dial: that is national.  And then AM 1510 had a morning show for a while after the whole Kroenke switch-a-roo.  I didn’t listen to it much, the guys were rather amateurish and juvenile, but I tuned in now and then if they were talking about the Broncos or Avs.  Well, I tuned in; I don't get a good signal up here North of Boulder.  Anyway, I figured the morning show would get better over time.  But apparently the station pulled the plug and now we have yet another national show.

The national shows are fine, except when something like the A-Roid thing happens and then that is all anyone is talking about for two weeks and I don’t give a flying-monkeys-butt about it.

The local shows have had their problems, no doubt.  But how did we get here?  Everything is about money, so that must be it.  But I must say I find it frustrating.  Again, a town with all 4 major sports and we can’t support a local morning show?
