Why did the Avalanche follow up a solid effort on Sunday with a dud on Tuesday? One of our veteran leaders knows:

"Part of it was mental," defenseman Adam Foote said. "Sometimes that's youth and inexperience. We have to be stronger mentally, and we have to work on that. The last game we were able to hold it for 60 minutes."

Yep, that's it! It's been staring us in the face all this time, and we didn't see it. The Avalanche just need to get older! It's as plain as the nose on his face.
