Around SBN: Two Minutes Of Thunder Basketball Wins The Game

"[Arnason] does not play a physical game, he is sub-par on faceoffs, he has a propensity for turnovers, and he often is a defensive liability. Other than that, what’s not to love?"

I haven’t been able to find the original quote though. It sure sounds like a MHH comment. Could it be from somewhere else? Shane, perhaps?

Mike used “goat testicles” in a comment at itcs.

But what Lopez was touching on totally sounds like Jib.

I LOL’d at myself. Good times…

I searched “compromising positions” and goat and couldn’t find the comment.

Awesome stuff from BiB right there. That post was October 30th as well. Geez

Nice, I totally had it pegged as something you would have said but BiB pulls out the win.

Aaron still hasn’t sent me a check. Damn him anyway. My other thought was that maybe the old Rocky has lowered it’s standards on what they will allow in their stories since they are only online? Good for them.

I did a google search for it: Arnason compromising goats

I did NOT check to see if any images came up

by TheRed on Mar 24, 2009 1:49 PM MDT reply actions

Seriously

It’s pathetic.

I’d have some respect for him if he defiantly declared he was better than the stats or his game showed. I’d think he was dillusional and I still would want him gone, but it would show some spark or passion that I think any professional athelete should have.

But to sum up his situation as “Whatever” is sad.

And based on what the team brings to the ice every game, I wonder who else must have the same attitude toward their work.

by Cheesus on Mar 24, 2009 2:35 PM MDT up reply actions

yeah, that interview is staggering. i don’t get how anyone could react to things that way.

The only time I’ve seen him in warm-up, the game against the Isles the first thing I noticed was him skating during the Smyth interview and even there he looked like he didn’t want to do anything. It’s a warm-up, you can’t even put any effort into that?

Good thing

about him giving up this season?

He’s helping us get a great replacement for him.

You could also argue Brett Clark is doing his part to get us a great replacement for him.

An ounce of confidence can carry you a mile toward winning. Oh, and Red Wings suck.

Except

Not necessarily. Some moron GM might be willing to trade for him. I bet Tampa Bay could use a rusty, overpaid D-man.

For which,

FG would accept another 4th line grinder? Maybe an 8th D-man. I’m really starting to lose faith in the guy, if you couldn’t tell.

since I doubt we improve a great deal next year, it’s probable he’ll be a rental next year. Can’t see a GM dealing for him before then though, 3.5m for that is :O

by thedoctor on Mar 25, 2009 9:44 AM MDT up reply actions

Yeha,

thats why I figured we have him for another year. Unless we buy him out.
