Cherry’s an idiot, thats all there is to it. I love watching Ovie play and score because he looks like he’s having a lot of fun and doesn’t want to be doing anything else with his time, I’m looking at you Arnie. The NHL needs more players with his level of passion and who look like they’re having as much fun as him getting paid to do something that other people will pay to do.
And if teams feel his celebrations are taunting and upsetting them then there is an easy solution, don’t let him score. if you can’t do that then deal with whatever he does.

I love Ovie! His spirit is just what the game needs. Mike sent me a story one time of Ovechkin and several team friends taking the Segway tour of DC, and it was hilarious! “Where are you ladies?” Makes me laugh every time!
