Super Joe May Be A No-Go
"Citing a loss of strength in his left leg — aftereffects of back surgery to repair a herniated disc and sciatic nerve damage to the leg — Sakic said it may not be possible to fulfill his goal. "
however:
"Sakic dismissed speculation the only reason he is trying to play in any of the Avs' final six games is because he knows he will retire when the season is over. "

If it makes Super Joe feel any better, my left leg is still a little weaker than my right from knee surgery in 2007.
So I guess me and Joe Sakic are pretty much the same.
Go Avs! Let's get some goals!
After having surgery on my right knee in high school, my left leg has actually gotten stronger than my right. Perhaps this is because it was always my dominate leg/power leg which I naturally use for jumping.
