I was watching Satellite Hot Stove between the second and third periods of the Miami/Boston University championship game and Al Strachan brought up an interesting rumor regarding the Avalanche.

He said that Giguere and Granto would be fired and that Lacroix would hire his son Eric as the new GM and bring in Patrick Roy as the head coach.  I'm on the fence regarding Roy.  He's fiery and the team could certainly use that and the man has succeeded as a coach on the junior level, winning a Memorial Cup.  Yet, he can go overboard sometimes and his temper has caused him problems.  However, the tought of Baby Lacroix being named GM makes me so angy.  I'm so tired of this nepotism and good ole boys club this team has been running for years. 

Now, I realize Strachan has been known to be full of crap, but I wouldn't be surprised if this actually happened.
