Former Tampa Bay GM Jay Feaster is a strong candidate to become the next GM in Colorado.

Don’t be surprised if Tony Granato is re-assigned in the Colorado organization and the club turns to Patrick Roy.

Feaster considers Lacroix to be one of his mentors.

Dater says that Feaster is interested.

He has contacted Pierre Lacroix and told him of his great interest in the vacant Avs G.M. job. Feaster has a connection to the Avalanche - he was the G.M. of the Hershey Bears when the Bears were an Avs affiliate. Pierre basically hired him for that job, and played a role in helping him get the G.M. job in Tampa.
