Tampa Gets A Point

Martins Karsum scored with 5:53 left against the Devils to tie the game and send it to overtime. The Devils ended up winning, but the Lightning now are two full points behind the Avalanche in the Ti4T race (but the Avs have a game in hand).

In related news, at 3:30 eastern Saturday I'll be discussing the Draft Lottery "race" on Hockey Night in Long Island. Lightning blogger Cassie from Bolts Blog will also be a guest. You can subject your ears to this certain train wreck via the link below.

I can't believe

our season has come to the point of a shitty Eastern Conference team GETTING THE GAME INTO OVERTIME making our front page. This is depressing.

It’s gonna be okay, Bubblegum. The season is almost over and only 10 days left before the draft lottery. The end to our pain is coming.

An ounce of confidence can carry you a mile toward winning. Oh, and Red Wings suck.

agreed

I just want Drury back...

and with the islanders winning!

not sure

I’m not sure which one i’d like to win. Sure the Isles winning gives us better hope at #1 overall… but it’s still unlikely even if the Isles win.

A lightning win (in OT of course) would pretty much secure that #2 lottery slot… which means the Avs have a 60.8% chance at the #2 pick. However if they end up at #3 it means no chance at #2 and only the 14.2% chance at #1

That One May Make You Laugh

But this one reminds me why I love hockey. It can’t rain all the time…

Sniff, sniff

That just makes me want to cry….

I think I miss Foppa more than Sakic…

Oh yeah, me too. But I won’t cry because I don’t do that.

Of course she is

that’s what women do. And yet we will never actually hold it against them…

I've always said

Sakic has been the most valuable player for this fanchise. But Forsberg was the player I would pay the most to see play.

Damn

I’ve got tears swelling too.

Foppa’s and always will be my all-time favourite player, and growing up I tried to play like him.

That video of Hockey Jesus

Is reason number one I don’t want Lacroix as a new GM. It was his mismanagement that forced the avs to lose Foppa.

Get rid of the loser point

08-09 Avs- can we decline the penalty?

by TheRed on Apr 5, 2009 4:59 PM MDT up reply actions

Time permitting, I have plans to write about Lacroix tomorrow.

Hyphens cause writers more trouble than any other form of punctuation, except perhaps commas.
