Good news everyone - Johnny Boychuk Named AHL Defender Of The Year

Former Av Johnny Boychuck, who we traded for Hendricks or someone else starting with H, I'm not too sure, was just awarded AHL Defender of the year. Awesome news, just awesome.

well, everyone knew he was a good AHLer. The question is whether he’ll be an NHLer ever. I still agree we gave up on him too quickly, no matter how good Hendricks has been for us.

a bigger question

how does Boychuk go from 28 points with LEM to 63 points with Providence?
hell, he scored more last year than he had in his two seasons at Lake Erie. You can’t tell me we couldn’t have used him.

I didn’t like this deal at the time, and I still don’t, especially since the Avs seem to have no interest in playing Hendricks.

Hyphens cause writers more trouble than any other form of punctuation, except perhaps commas.
