Today In Colorado Avalanche History
April 7, 2007 - Peter Forsberg makes his 1st - and, to date, only - visit to Denver as a member of the opposing team. The Avalanche organization shows some class by showing a video tribute to Foppa on the big screen. Forsberg returns the favor by assisting on Paul Kariya's winning goal, knocking the Avalanche out of the playoffs for the first time since they arrived in Denver. The Avs went 15-2-2 down the stretch, but fell just one point short. Thanks, Peter!

Didn’t Rycroft miss a wide open net from close in early in the game that would have put the Avs up? I seem to remember something like that.

i was at that game
I dont really remember much of the game after the ovation that followed the video tribute. I remember that we lost, and I was pissed, but really the ovation was pretty magical. i remember standing up with the whole row and yelling at people that sat down while i was still clapping. i got everyone pumped for foppa’s return; its too bad that it ended the way it did.
awaiting the draft...
