More Dater-aid on Lappy
I don't think this could get any grimmer. Is grimmer a word? Grimmer. Sounds like a pole dancer with a speech impediment.

Dater Drama
Who else thinks Dater is completely over reacting? Is this not how negotiations work? There’s still 2 weeks left… Let’s simma dawn na AD.
the more hysteria dater can drum up, the better it is for his career...
Dater frequently baits his readers into hysterical responses by posting “rumors” and speculations on his blog. He even admits he knows exactly which type of posts can generate tons of reader responses. I couldn’t take it anymore and hadn’t read his stuff for the last few months … and today I noticed he has his own byline now. Vomit.
NHL player market
I don’t understand why so many people think that trading a player is like selling stocks, just call your broker and trade away. There has to be a buyer, in order for there to be a seller and the NHL player market is not very liquid. My understanding is that Lappy was on the block at the trading deadline but nobody was interested.
You know what
I’d rather get nothing for Lappy than watch him play for the Cup with Les Ailes. We got to see Lappy play his 1000th game in an avs uni, and it would have been unbearable to watch him do it as an Aile.

You still need to pay a reasonable price though. If Detroit was interested, they probably weren’t offering enough. I think the Avs position would have been, if they can’t get a good price for him then they’ll see if they can resign him for a reasonable amount. Maybe the low ball offer is all they feel they can pay or they are setting the stage for negotiations. If you’re a good negotiator, you should always go in with a low offer. If you start at a fair price and he signs immediately, you’ll never know if you could have signed him for less.
Soooo
Is there a super stud who can save a franchise in the 2010 draft?

Many would argue that nothing can save the franchise from PL – save a timely retirement/incapacitation.
Incapacitation...are you Tonya Harding?
I can see Pierre sobbing on the ground saying WHY ME WHY NOW….
