Today In Colorado Avalanche History

Nonords_medium

June 22, 1991 - Although Eric Lindros had told the Nordiques that he would not play for them, they went ahead and drafted the big baby anyway. He was pleased and enthusiastic about this! Okay, he actually wasn't at all, and even refused to put on the jersey. Loser. Most of you know how this story ends. It might even be the source of another TICAH...

Bonus points if you can name the player from this draft with the most career points (without looking it up, of course).

good guess, but Forsberg is #2

Is it?

Alexei Kovalev?

MHH: Like the Avs organization, we’ve now officially lost our minds.

I’m looking forward to this, if you’re going to review the Rangers and Flyers trade offer debacle. I remember this like it was yesterday, and I remember at the time thinking the Rangers offer was better because it had the sexier names. Of course, I was only 15 at the time, so I was a moe-ron (even moreso than I am now) :-D

Above Average.

Mullet?

Is it just an illusion or does Lindros have a really bad mullet in this picture? I’m voting for mullet.

It’s the rarely seen Curly Mullet. He looks like an extra from Fame…
