Who would be a realistic expectation for the other picks especially the two 2nd-rounders?

Draft an ACTUAL goalie prospect
Besides Weiman, Bacashihua and Delmas, the Avs have no real solid goalie prospects (Delmas is right on the line).
The Avalanche would be smart to pick Olivier Roy if he is still available at #33. There is a chance he could go in the first round, but he is by and far the best goalie available in this year’s draft, besides Nicola Riopel.
Riopel could still be available at #49 and is another amazing QMJHL goalie eligible to be drafted.
At #64 I would look at either the behemoth Finnish goalie Mikko Koskinen or possible Robin Lehner from Sweden. Lehner is an interesting story because his father has worked with Henrik Lundqvist for many years and Lehner has been learing a lot just from watching them. Lehner considers Hank a mentor and that’s a pretty good mentor to have if you ask me.
Any of those goalies would be a very smart choice for the Avs.

Would Roy be able to deal with the pressure of being an Avs goalie though. Not only would he be a goalie on an Avs team which already has a truckload of pressure and then ading even more simply because he’s the G.O.A.Ts son. As much as it’d be cool to see another Roy in net I don’t think it’d be best for him or the team.

Taking a goalie named Roy @ 33 might be a good omen.
The guy formerly known as "Where is Bob Hartley?". Because it's never going to happen. And no one knows where he is.

Not even by six degrees of Kevin Bacon?

My bad, I was thinking of Jonathon Roy for some reason, although the chances of him being picked in the 2nd round aren’t all that good and should have alerted me to the fact they were different people. I Blame society for my mistake.

No worries, I'm sure a lot will make that mistake over the next few years
When I saw your post, I was thinking how did I miss that, so I had to look it up.
I’m sure alot will make that mistake which is the main thing I have against drafting him and not another goalie, even if he isn’t related he has the name which will add a truckload of pressure. Especially since most of Daters muppet mob would hate him for it, and their logic is infallible. Which is why Raycroft was an all star goalie around christmas

In the mocks I did, I took a goalie at #33. Looking back at it now, I’d probably go with a skater and take a goalie at #49 or #64. I think the goalies will fall in this draft.
If I were to guess on a goalie the Avs would take, it would be Fargo’s (USHL) Mike Lee, who is heading to St. Cloud State in the fall. The Avs would have scouted him often as they had a prospect (Nate Condon) play on his team this year.
Drew Shore
Charles-Oliver Roussel
Ethan Werek
Zach Budish
Budish and Werek could be taken in the late first round, but Roussel should be available in the second round, though I’m not sure he’d last until 49.

What’s the over under on the Avs packaging the two 2nds for a late first?

Unlikely. I think they are better off keeping their second round picks. This is a pretty deep draft. In fact, I hope they can find a way to add another second or third round pick.

Further to that point...
How about Svats & one of our 2nds for say the 9th through 12th in a shot at MSP?
Svats is a proven commodity, maybe not a world beater, but a decent 2nd/3rd line winger (presuming you don’t put him on the line with Arnasoft), plus a 2nd.
Svatos injury history makes his value tough to judge. I don’t think Svatos and a second rounder is enough to move into the 9-12 slot. You probably would be looking at Wolski instead of Svats.

How’s about our 3rd as well? I love Svats, but he needs to skate on a major talent line, which I’m not sure that we quite have now or in the near future. All we need to do is transplant Svats’ heart into the Baron’s body.
Would also be happy to offer up Clark, Tucker and/or Hannan in the package. Addition by subtraction you know…
I like it
The more I look at the guys ranked 30-50, the more I think this trade is not bad for either side. There will be a lot of good players left in the second round for the team that takes Svatos. If it happens, let’s hope that is the 49th pick because I’m thinking a couple really good prospects could fall to 33. It seems like it’s always the smaller guys that get passed by, like Jr. Chicken Parm (LANDON FERRARO) or KYLE PALMIERI (they are comparing him to Drury). There’s always somebody who falls, who will it be this year?
i doubt you’ll move into that slot with that package.
i do think that package might be attractive to Minny for Harding though, especially as their suitors fade away every day. they are really starting to run the risk as Harding going to RFA where they’ll either be stuck with a big salary or less compensation than if they traded now.
I could do Harding for Svats and a 2nd. I might even be persuaded to throw in a 4th or 5th if that’s what it took, but likely not the 3rd.
Hmmm, so if this were to come about, MIN gets Heatly ($7.5M), OTT would end up with Bouchard ($4.25M) and Svats ($2.35M) and a 2nd and we get Harding (+/-$3 or 4M??). Not too bad all around, but I guess that it’s all predicated on MIN not coming to terms with Gaborik at somewhere around the same price tag. Given the impending cap situation, I think Gabby may find that his price has come down from what he forecast last summer.
