Upon hearing Hedman was the 2nd overall pick.

Gotta Love It
I can’t wait to see this kid. Part of me, though, hopes that they keep him in Brampton this year in an “effort” to get another high pick next year. Bring him in with all of the BU guys.
On another note, it sounds like Stoa has been really impressive so far

Okay, so the Avs end up tanking, but tanking only enough to get a third round pick, who ends up being a kid who has idolized the Avs his whole life, has wanted to be one, who pumps his fist when he finds out he will be chosen by his favorite team, in a year when Super Joe will be retiring and we need someone with Joe’s character and skill to step in. Am I the only one who thinks that this is just a little to perfect to be a coincidence? And we thought the Hockey Gods didn’t like us!
Colorado Avalanche: Please excuse the mess while we are under construction.
Duchene was a third OVERALL pick, not a third round pick.
And yes, after watching the Ti4T campaign fail to net the #1 pick, I think a little joy is completely acceptable with how the draft played out.
2008-2009 Colorado Avalanche: Dry Humping Mediocrity
and...
the whole Ti4H business when we realized that not even equipping the team with vacuums instead of sticks could get us to suck harder than the Isles
I just want Drury back... I recognize the Drury->Morris->Statsny chain, and I stick with the statement.

God Bless this Kid!!!
He showed more heart and drive for the team at the draft table than all but a handful of jokers who made 7 figures last year to wear the unipron.
This portends well!
