Lappy Bids Denver Farewell
"I had a great time in Denver for the past four years. Thank you, fans, for your support," Laperriere told The Denver Post. "I’d like to thank the Lacroix family as well, as they are the reason I had a chance to live in and enjoy Denver. There is a good chance Denver is going to be our home when I’m done playing."

and Denver (or Avalanche fans) bid an equally fond farewell to Lappy

I just hope this rebuilding period includes a rebuilding of the team’s personality. The Avs are a pretty boring, soulless bunch right now—-or at least they seem that way.
Go Avs! Let's get some goals!

I. Just. Don’t. Get. It.
As Bob Hartely said frequently behind the Av bench, “Fuck me.”

I really liked Bob.
And I really liked Ian. I liked Bob more.
The guy formerly known as "Where is Bob Hartley?". Because it's never going to happen. And no one knows where he is.

Fucking bullshit. Lappy should be an Av until he retires.
An ounce of confidence can carry you a mile toward winning. Oh, and Red Wings suck.

Of course Lappy goes out classy.
When you retire Lappy you are always welcome in Denver.

Farewell Lappy!
You will be missed. We wish you the absolute best of luck, wherever you end up. Much love and respect.
Sippin' PBR on a Colorado game day...
I hate what this organization has done to our team. That’s all I can say.

Probably the first time I’ve ever heard that out of a potentially departing professional athlete.
I hope he goes somewhere and wins a cup.
I don't believe in Peter Budaj.

Get rid of the loser point

Best of Luck Lappy!!!
Truly remarkable human being and player. I, too, hope he gets a Stanley Cup – he deserves it!
Colorado Avalanche: Please excuse the mess while we are under construction.
