The 2009-2010 Avalanche [Updated]
Here's a final update of the Avs salary cap situation going into today's free agency feeding frenzy. I've corrected Cumiskey's cap number and removed Michael Vernace as it appears he was not tendered a QO on Monday. I've also updated the salary cap to $56.8 million, although I will be extremely shocked if the Avs spend up to the cap max.
Roughly, the Avalanche have about $9.5 million to add about 5 players (either through free agency or promotion from within the organization). However, at least three of those slots project to be towards the bottom level of the depth chart (meaning low salaries).

Hyphens cause writers more trouble than any other form of punctuation, except perhaps commas.

You got 1/2 the day off? I really should be able to take a holiday-day for this

Not much going on here at the non-profit today, so I’ll have it up. I’m really hoping that the Preds can keep Sully…
My boss already left for vacation yesterday, so other than the misery of fluorescent lights and toner stench, it’s the perfect day in the office to watch free agency unfold.
