here’s a random thought: could it be that Ledin was signed by one guy (say, Giguere) while another guy (say, Lacroix) was non-plussed and “suggested” that we sign Tucker instead?
Hyphens cause writers more trouble than any other form of punctuation, except perhaps commas.

Point of order,
Jibblekopf is a verb, ie to Jibblekopf a post so as to entertain the denziens of MHH.
Accordingly, the past tense would be Jibblekopfed, not Jibblekopf’d as there is no possession indicated.
