Joe Sakic Retirement Press Conference Thread

This will be the live thread for Joe Sakic's press conference, 1 MT / 3 Eastern.
Where to watch:
For those in the Denver area, Altitude will be showing the conference live:
Altitude will televise the Avalanche Press Conference for Joe Sakic on Thursday, July 9 at 1:00 p.m. live. Kyle Keefe will host the event, with Peter McNab and Norm Jones at the desk and Mike Haynes conducting interviews.
The also will be replaying it at 6:00 pm, 10:00 pm, 12:00 am and on Friday at 7:00 am (all Mountain Time).
TSN.ca has a note up that they will be streaming the altitude feed on their site, although I believe that feed will be just viewable to Canadian viewers (please correct me if I'm wrong).
ColoradoAvalanche.com is also going to be streaming the presser. I'll update that link with a direct link to the stream as soon as it's available. [Update: Live Link]
Also, Adrian Dater is tweeting the event (something new for him)
I believe it is also on the NHL Network, but can't confirm that. [Update: it is on NHL Network and also apparently NHL.com]. Additionally, NHLN will also be replaying the press conference like crazy, and is also throwing a bunch of Sakic related programming up this weekend.
NHL Network US will re-air the Joe Sakic tribute program at 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. ET tonight, and at 10:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday, July 10. NHL Network Canada will re-air Sakic's press conference at 10:00 p.m. ET tonight, and at 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m., ET on Friday, July 10.
To continue the celebration, NHL Network will air 12 hours of Sakic-themed programming Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 6 p.m. ET. The full schedule of NHL Network Presents: A Sakic Salute is as follows, all times Eastern and subject to change

Tuesday night
I starting crying while trying to fall asleep. So, I decided I needed to think of something else to distract myself from this Sakic stuff, so I thought of that shirtless picture of Hedman and I felt much better.

I didn't have any tears all week
Until reading today that it’s official.

The fact that Paige gave him a copy of his own article is so fucking mind-blowing to me I can’t describe it. The ultimate bullshit media ploy ever—-inject yourself into the story at all costs. Why couldn’t Paige be out of work instead of a stand-up guy like Sadowski?

I still say it should have been AD, hell, even Kizsla would have been better than Paige. OK, maybe not
Seriously. Dater is actually a Sakic fan, not a Dater fan. What with that article he has on his blog and all…. he would have done a great job.

Quick 2 Qs
How much do nosebleed tix usually cost?
And when do they usually go on sale?
So long Super Joe. In a class of your own in every sense of the word.
If prices don't come down
3rd bowl tix probably start around $35 (probably 40-45 after taxes and everything)
The problem with the world is that everyone is a few drinks behind - Humphrey Bogart
According to the avstickets website, we could get a group deal if there’s at least 20 of us. That would be $22 for the cheapest bleeders, $35 for the “corner balcony/mid-end balcony”.
count me in…for 3 tickets
