Scott Parker Retiring

Hopefully those of you in the Denver area were listening to the Fox this morning.  They had Scott Parker on, and he officially announced his retirement.  Sounds like it is due to a brain stem injury that he suffered a few years back during a practice that just never healed.  Can't find a link to any news stories about it yet though... UPDATE: Partial interview and pics from the show this morning.

It was fun to listen to, they had Wolski, Budaj, and Scott Thorton all call in and chat for a bit (maybe more, that's just the ones I heard).

Unfortunate

He may have been slower than hell, but Scott Parker will always be one of my favorites.

I’ll actually miss the Sheriff. I wish him well. Not a fabulous skater but always entertainnig when he was on the ice!

You miss 100% of the shots you never take.

Long Live the Sheriff!!!

Parker IS the man. I will miss him, even though he never lived up to his scoring potential. That youtube interview is worth watching – Chris “Birdman” Anderson also calls in!

GO CATS GO!!! Rob Madore shuts the door!

Love the Sheriff!

Way too bad how this whole thing turned out. Best of luck beating up bulls, riding Harleys, and getting more tatoos!

An ounce of confidence can carry you a mile toward winning. Oh, and Red Wings suck.
