Decent article, at least it was well thought out.
I, for one, am not a fan of the “next whoever.”
The next Michael Jordan, the next Walter Payton, the next John Elway, the next Patrick Roy…and eventually, the next Albert Pujols.
Who cares who the “next” is? I want the good guys, whether they are the “next” so and so…or not
If anyone could truly fall under those categories (which I personally don’t think they could or should), they would just end up talking about who the next will be. Its just a way to get more eyes on an article because it has a recognizable name in it.
And it does work. I probably would not have read that had it just been talking about Jonathan Toews being a good pivot and goal scorer.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

eh
not too impressed, HARD to relate players from different era’s and different players around them. to me there is no the next Joe Sakic its the next (put name here) player. The article mentions Toews, well Toews probably brings something completely different the Sakic did for their respective teams, and yea you can match skill sets, but they wont be at the same level until they match up at the end of the career
Pujols takes out "I" in BIG and "A" in MAC, previously considered to be an unyielding, consonant threat
