Sean Avery has a new protege: Patrick Kane
Somehow I just can't see Doogie doing anything like this...thank the hockey gods. At least the Avs do one thing right: signing players who can control themselves, off-ice at least.

Don't blame him
I’d be pretty pissed if I lived in Buffalo, too.

Lol…reading through most of the Blackhawks boards today, a lot of people, including those who live in Buffalo agree.
If this turns out to be true…just a couple of things:
1) You make 875 THOUSAND dollars a year Patrick, you should be tipping at least the buck-20…if not 20 bucks more.
2) There is a rumor that while the punching was going on, Kane was saying something along the lines of “don’t you know who I fu#king am?”
3) The offseason for the Hawks has just been one black eye after another
4) There is night-life in Buffalo?
5) NHL ’10 with Kane on the cover…might be a collectors item.
6) I would still take him on my team 100 times before I ever pay Sean Avery a nickle…or two dimes for that matter

I seem to remember some bad off-ice press about a high-end player named Patrick Roy…
Roy…Theo Fluery (though he saved his biggest “stuff” for the Blackhawks)…Sandis Ozolinsh had some major off-ice problems (though, again, saved his biggest “stuff” for the Ducks)…
honestly
i was referring to the recent signings of the youngins. but you make a good point on the older dudes.

When Roy does it people think its cool that he’s so emotional. When a rookie goalie punches doors and throws things everyone thinks he has problems. what a crappy world, so not fair.
