Colorado good. Columbus bad. So easy a caveman can do it! Colorado needs to win, because if they lose they could fall from 3rd to 7th (if Calgary and Nashville win). Steve Mason starts for Columbus. No idea on Colorado's starter, but the Avs have 3 days off after tonight, so Anderson might be a good bet.

correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe I may have just successfully completed my first typo-free preview box!

According to AD
Andy to start, Liles and Savts both to sit.
Looks like the same squad on the ice that was out there Thursday in Detroit, for tonight’s tilt against the CBJ at Nationwide Arena. Craig Anderson will start in goal, and it looked like John Liles is going to be a scratch again tonight, based on the morning skate today here in frigid C-Bus. Marek Svatos was not on the ice; he did some off-ice work on what looks to be a continually troubled groin.
I’ll have Anderson’s reaction to being left off the Olympic team in tomorrow’s paper. Nothing too outrageous. I think Andy deserved the nod over Jonathan Quick. Brian Burke said age had something to do with Quick getting the nod, to better acclimate him to the USA "program" for the future. But Andy is only 28 – last time I checked that is a ways from getting your social security card.

Beachie says...

WTF?!?! Does Clark have to score a goal in his own net in order to see the press box or what??

Liles hasn’t played since Beachie left MHH.

Poor Liles :-(
He misses Beachie.

Proof Positive;
that whatever compromising photos including goats, Frankie G and Tony G that allowed Brett Clark to skate consistently last year also include Messrs. Sacco, Lefebvre & Konowalchuk.
At the least.
2009-2010 Colorado Avalanche - Time to grow a pair, boys!
It does make you wonder. Perhaps JML is so devastated that he no longer has Beachie’s support that he can’t eat, sleep or do any strenuous activities.

It seems like she’s still supporting him even though she can’t be here. Look at how many people are writing comments for her like the one above! I’m sad for Liles. He seems like he’s a good player, at least better than Clark. But I don’t really know what to look for so maybe I’m wrong.

He must have something
Cuz, There is no way that Clark deserves to play over Johnny.

Seeing as how Calgary is playing at home against the Leafs what are the chances that they’ll lose? Nashville is facing off against Anaheim who only have two more points than the Leafs. This is a game the Avs really need to show up for.

I don’t know, but it would be extra funny if they did!!
Bills fan? In Colorado? It's more likely than you think.

Wouldn’t it though. Edmonton beat them the last game (after 7 straight loses) and there was an article in the newspaper basically saying so they won but they beat the Leafs so does it really count?

Just got home from the Winter Classic
It was the single most insane experience of my life. Colorado needs one. It was amazing. I started swearing when I didn’t see a 41 jersey on the USA kids. Oh well. I’m not sure of they announced preliminary lines but Parise-Stastny-Kessel will be good.

I also had Steve Levy and Barry Melrose run into me. Levy is really bloody tall.

I was thinking Kane instead of Kessel.
Parise – Stastny – Kane
Ryan – Pavelski – Kessel
Something like that.
Then, you’ve also solid two way players on the bottom two lines in Kesler, Drury, Langenbrunner and gritty complimentary wingers that can score like Malone, Callahan, Backes, Brown.
I think that Team USA might have a deeper forward group than people think.
